Kenith Landis, with D Battery, 2nd Battalion, 218th Field Artillery Regiment, 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, fires an M9 pistol during the stress-shoot portion of the 2017 Oregon Best Warrior Competition at Camp Rilea, near Warrenton, Oregon, August 25, 2017. The timed event consisted of firing an M9 pistol at targets in a supported standing position and an unsupported prone position while enduring smoke, sirens and other distractions. The competitors then had to extract a simulated casualty from a vehicle and drag him to safety before the third firing sequence where they walked towards their target while shooting.
