NETTUNO, Italy (May 28, 2017) Members of the U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band and the Fanfara Carabinieri band perform in a Memorial Day ceremony at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery. During the ceremony, veterans, service members, students and families gathered to honor and pay tribute to those who gave their lives during the liberation of Italy in 1943. U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, headquartered in Naples, Italy, oversees joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint, and interagency partners, to enable enduring relationships and increase vigilance and resilience in Europe and Africa.
