Description Oregon Army National Lt. Col. Travis Lee, commander of 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry Regiment, 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, visits with World War II Veteran Herb Everson at the 41st Division Centennial Anniversary ceremony, April 1, 2017, at the 41st Infantry Division Armed Forces Reserve Center at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Oregon. Everson was a forward observer with the 167th Field Artillery Battalion, 41st Infantry Division, during battles with the Japanese on Palawan Island in the southern Philippines. Generations of Veterans who served in the 41st Infantry Division and 41st Infantry Brigade gathered to reminisce during the celebration which honored the 41st Division's 100-year history from World War I to present day.
