Summary

Description170111-A-VX611-1 (31910953310).jpg	A look down the 3,027-foot long spillway chute from the auxiliary spillway control structure. Water released from the Folsom reservoir will flow down this chute and through a stilling basin that acts as an energy dissipater, before reaching the American River below. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District continues with the final phase of construction on the Folsom Dam Auxiliary Spillway project January 11, 2017. The project in Folsom, Calif. is scheduled for completion in October 2017.
