Cliché pris lors de l'opération médiatique "Mazamet ville morte" organisée par la Sécurité routière. Observation: Opération "Mazamet ville morte" ou "La ville rayée de la carte" : opération médiatique organisée par la Sécurité routière. Durant 15 minutes les habitants de mazamet ont du se coucher sur la chaussée pour symboliser les 16610 personnes tuées sur les routes de France en 1972 (Mazamet comptait alors environ 16000 habitants). Un film intitulé "Mazamet ville morte" fut consacré à l'évènement avec l'appui de l'ORTF, diffusé sur "24 heures à la Une", émission de Michel Tauriac.
