Description

End of the line at Västervik with Y2R 1383 "Anna Bielke" next to the well maintained station building. This would go onto form train 28882, 18:06 Västervik to Linköping Centralstation on 17 May 2022.

Operated by Krösatågen on behalf of Kalmar Länstrafiken, a fleet of 6 of these 3-car DMUs share the routes from Linköping to Kalmar and Västervik with Y31 sets.

The YR2 are the same as ones used by Danish State Railway (DSB) - class MF or IC3 with distinctive rubber ends. Internally they offer very comfortable seating, mainly tables of four.

Note the interlaced tracks to the right. The narrow gauge line is now under preservation being once part of a large system operated by SJ and closed in the late 1980s.
