Description |
English: Copper alloy ring thimble height 9mm, diameter (bottom) 16mm, diameter (top) 9mm, wall thickness 1.8mm, weight 4.28g. The artefact expands outwards towards the base. There are four rows of hand drilled indentations running around the circumference of the piece. The artefact is heavily corroded with much of the original surface flaking away.
The date for this artefact is 1350-1550 Holmes E F, 1988, Sewing Thimbles, Finds research Group 700-1700, Datasheet 9. |
