Description
English: 160515-N-OY339-165 YOKOSUKA, JAPAN (May 15, 2016) Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman Dominic Hopper, from San Jose, California, left, Airman Remus Figueroa, from Chicago, center, and Air Traffic Controller 3rd Class Timothy Virgen, from Sacramento, California, place metal shoring over a simulated hole in the deck during a damage control drill aboard the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The Sailors are members of the ship’s in-port emergency team, which responds to fires, flooding or other damage sustained while Ronald Reagan is pier side. Ronald Reagan provides a combat-ready force, which protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
