Description Joe Griffin, senior archeologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, speaks to a colleague after finishing a brown-bag seminar May 12, 2016, at district headquarters in Sacramento, California. Griffin spoke about leading an expedition to recover the remains of an American pilot shot down during the Vietnam War era in the Xiangkhoang Province, Lao People’s Democratic Republic earlier in the year and discussed his experiences working with a multi-disciplinary team from the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.
