JPEG file comment | MINIATURIST, Flemish
(active 1467-80 in Bruges) Mary of Burgundy's Book of Hours 1467-80 Illumination on parchment, 22 x 16 cm Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, Vienna This Book of Hours is one of the most beautiful codices coming from the court of Burgundy. The woman in the foreground is probably a portrait of Mary of Burgundy. The master of this miniature is not known, he is usually mentioned as the Master of Mary Burgundy after this work.
