The Severn Beach Line is possibly my favourite branch line. This probably comes from ridding on it in "Bubble cars" where we would always rush to get the front seat on the opposite side to the driver to get a drivers eye view through the tunnels and in and out of stations on the way to Bristol Temple Meads. The park and playground beside Redland railway station was especially useful to stop us getting bored if the train was cancelled or just didn't turn up, playing on the swings and slide for another half hour. The line which always appeared to be under imminent threat of closure has recently experienced a 90% increase in passenger numbers although from the dilapidated state of Redland Station building it still looks to me as if it may be demolished just as Avonmouth Station was earlier in 2015.
