14th-15th century button
Description
English: A lead or lead-alloy button of 14th to 15th century AD date. The object is circular in plan and has cast decoration on its upper surface, consisting of six raised, equally-spaced ridges each decorated with a line of pellets and converging to a central circular protrusion. On the reverse is a casting line and, at the centre, a remnant of the integral loop. The piece is heavily corroded and slightly damaged. It measures 28.2mm diameter by 7.7mm thick and weighs 13.99g.
