Description
English: Row houses located at 1410–1412 Hopkins Street, N.W., (between 20th, 21st, O and P Streets, N.W.) in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., following the Second North American blizzard of 2010. Built by Joseph A. Blundon in 1896, to the designs of architect William J. Palmer, the Queen Anne-style homes are designated as contributing properties to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.


Previous occupants of 1410 Hopkins Street, N.W., include: Amos Casselman, an archer who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics; and Leon E. Irish, former president of the International Center for Not-For-Profit Law.

Previous occupants of 1412 Hopkins Street, N.W., include: General Francis James Lippitt, a counselor for the U.S. Justice Department, author, veteran of the Mexican-American War and U.S. Civil War, and commander of the District of Humboldt during the Civil War; Charles Wardell Stiles, a parasitologist, zoologist, educator, and member of the Cosmos Club; Stiles' mother-in-law, Ruth, widow of Lewis Baker, the fourth president of the West Virginia Senate and diplomat to Central America.
