English: 26 Lithic implements

1) Microlith, length 14.5mm, width 7.5mm, thickness 2mm. Two arises on the dorsal, bulb is missing from the ventral. Slight recessed retouch on one side at the rear where it has been truncated. Creamy patina, date Late Mesolithic. 2) Microlith, length 24mm, width 12mm, thickness 3mm. Two arises on the dorsal, no bulb on the ventral. The right side has abrupt direct sub-parallel retouch, which creates a long pointed triangular shape. Grey flint with a creamy patina forming. Date Mesolithic, probably Early Mesolithic. 3) Truncated blade length 10mm, width 15mm, thickness 2.5mm. One arise on the dorsal, only the medial section remains. Grey flint with creamy mottled patina. Date possibly Late Mesolithic. 4) Truncated blade length 11mm, width 11mm, thickness 2mm. One arise on the dorsal, only the medial section remains. Dark grey flint with creamy mottled patina forming. Date possibly Late Mesolithic. 5) Truncated blade, length 20mm, width 16mm, thickness 3mm. Two arise on the dorsal, small bulb of percussion on the ventral. Short, scaled, low-angled retouch down both blades. The forward edge has been snapped in the centre at a 60 degree angle. Dark grey flint with lighter patches, patina forming. Date Possibly Late Mesolithic-Early Neolithic. 6) Possible arrowhead, length 19mm, width 16mm, thickness 4mm. Triangular shaped in plan. One arise on the dorsal, bulb missing from the ventral. Short, inverse, parallel retouch down both sides. Dark grey flint with a lighter patch, patina forming. Date Late Neolithic. 7) Miscellaneous retouched piece, length 19mm, width 21mm, thickness 3mm. Rough quadrangle shape, the dorsal and ventral are plain. Two sides have rough sub-parallel, retouch. Grey flint with a creamy patina forming. Date Neolithic-Bronze Age. 8) Truncated piece, length 14mm, width 20mm, thickness 7mm. Only the proximal end remains, one arise on the dorsal, small bulb on the ventral. Creamy grey patina, grey flint exposed in the break. Date possibly Neolithic. 9) Point, length 35mm, width 19mm, thickness 7mm. Bulb of percussion on the ventral, possible ventral on the other side with percussion ripples covering the surface. On one side of the point there is very fine, scaled, direct, low angled retouch. Grey flint with lighter patches throughout. Date probably Bronze Age. 10) Possible end scraper, length width thickness. No bulb no the ventral, multiple flaking scars on the dorsal. Semi-abrupt, direct, scaled, rough convex retouch on half of the forward edge. Dark brownie-grey, 5% remains of patina in the dorsal, the rest has been removed by later reworking. Date Bronze Age. 11) Two burnt flakes, length 18mm, width 12mm, thickness 12mm. Creamy colour with cracking throughout the object. Date Prehistoric. 12) Fourteen fragments of debitage. (these have not been photographed) Consisting of. 2 Primary flakes, average size length 44mm width 25mm, thickness 11mm. One is light grey patina whilst the other has a brown patina, both have more than 50% cortex remaining. Date prehistoric. These are waste flakes from the manufacturing process. 8 Secondary flakes. average size length 30mm width 15mm, thickness 5mm. Most have a dark grey colour, all have less then 50% cortex remaining. Date Prehistoric. These are waste flakes from the manufacturing process.

15 Tertiary flakes, average size length 21mm, width 17mm, thickness 6mm. Most have a light grey colour with a light patina. Date prehistoric. These are waste flakes from the manufacturing process.
