| Description |
Abellio Greater Anglia have been short of DMU stock for several years and as a workaround one or two sets of 3 x Mk2 carriages with locos either end have been hired in. Direct Rail Services are the main suppliers and locos used are usually class 68s or 37/4s though 47s have been used in the past as well. In the spring of 2017 two sets were out in use most weekdays on services from Norwich to Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Seen here is 37419 "Carl Haviland 1954-2012" with 37425 "Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob" on the opposite end having arrived in on 2P13, 09:17 Great Yarmouth to Norwich.
