The Thommanon temple is just north of the small road outside Angkor Thom, near the west bank of the Siem Reap river. It is a Hindu temple built by Suryavarman II, and quite similar to the Chau Say Tevoda just 200 meters away on the other side of the road. Both the temples are notable for the high quality Hindu artwork.

The temple has two gopuras, a mandapa, an antarala, and one main temple sanctum. It has a secondary shrine.

Beautifully carved apsaras with complex mudras decorate the outer walls of the Thommanon. Ramayana and Krishna lila panels grace many sections of the temple. Inside are Vishnu riding Garuda, Indra rides Airawata. On the gopuram, notable artwork include Shiva meditating as Mahayogi, the Vedic legend of Samudra manthan, and Vishnu on Garuda fighting a demon.

This is a JPEG format plan and architectural drawing of a historic Indian temple or monument. The relative scale and relative dimensions in this architectural drawing are close to the actual but neither exact nor complete. The plan illustrates the design and layout, but some intricate details or parts of the temple may not be shown. In cases where exact measurements were not feasible, the drawing uses best approximations and rounds the best measurements feasible.
