Description
English: 1290 Sixth Avenue, seen from observation deck of GE Building ("Top of the Rock"). Currently houses offices for AXA Equitable. May also be called AXA Financial Center (not to be confused with the nearby AXA Center) or the Sperry-Rand Building, according to Emporis. 44 stories, built in 1963. Visible detail on roof includes large fans for air conditioning system and what look like two cone-topped water tanks. Clearly the penthouse floor is reserved for mechanicals. Also visible is UBS tower on left and Central Park in background.
