Description
English: Early 5th century BC Athenian ostrakon (sherd of pottery inscribed with the name of a politician proposed for exile, the so-called "ostracism") against Aristides, son of Lysimachos. Found in River Eridanos, currently exhibited in Room 12 ("private life") of the Kerameikos Archaeological Museum (Athens). Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, November 12 2009.
