Description PORTSMOUTH, Va. -- Mike Darrow, chief of the water resource division at the Norfolk District, helps get the truck ready to transport 40 bushels of oysters shells he 35 others collected March 10, 2012 at the 2500-acre Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area in Portsmouth. The shells, ranging from 1-inch to 3-inches in length, will be used in the spring of 2012 as the foundation of an oyster reef in the waters in front of Fort Norfolk. (U.S. Army photo/Pamela Spaugy)
