Description: The monument commemorates the occupation of the Yarkon crossings by the British in December 1917 during the First World War. Similar monuments are in Hill Square in Tel Aviv and near the Ramat Gan Stadium.

שם: האנדרטה לצליחת נחל הירקון – רמת גן
תיאור: האנדרטה היא לזכר כיבוש מעברות הירקון על ידי הבריטים בדצמבר 1917 במהלך מלחמת העולם הראשונה. אנדרטאות דומות נמצאות בכיכר היל בתל אביב וליד איצטדיון רמת גן.
הערות: אור ליום ו' טבת תרע"ח 20.12.1917 עברה הבריגדה ה- 155 מן הדיביזיה הבריטית ה- 52 בפיקודו של גנרל היל את הירקון במקום שניצבת האנדרטה, ברפסודה ועל גשר קל וכבשו חילי הדיביזיה את העמדות הטורקיות, ניתן היה לחצות את נחל הירקון רק במקומות ספורים, וכל התקדמות לנחל נצפתה ע"י הטורקים מכיוון שייח מוניס. עם נצחונו של הצבא הבריטי נהדף קו החזית צפונה, לאזור נתניה בימינו, לאחר עשרה חודשים הסתערו הבריטים צפונה וכבשו את השומרון ואת הגליל.
