Name: Rehavia Windmill, Jerusalem
Description: The windmill was built around 1875 by the Greek Orthodox Church to provide subsidized grinding services to poor believers. The mill was equipped with a special device that rotated the large wings according to the direction of the wind.

שם: טחנת רוח רחביה, ירושלים
תיאור: טחנת הרוח נבנתה סביב שנת 1875 בידי הכנסייה היוונית אורתודוקסית כדי לספק שירותי טחינה מסובסדים למאמינים עניים. הטחנה צוידה במתקן מיוחד שסובב את הכנפיים הגדולות לפי כיוון הרוח.
הערות: בראשית המאה ה–20 הפסיקה הטחנה לפעול, כנראה בגלל תחרות עם טחנות הקיטור וילדי רחביה עקרו את הצלב מראשה. מאז שהפסיקה לפעול, הפכה לבית מגורים שהחליף כמה דיירים מידועני העיר. המפורסם ביניהם היה האדריכל היהודי גרמני אריך מנדלסון, בעל מוניטין בינלאומי שהתגורר ועבד בטחנה בין השנים 1935-1941. בשנות ה-1970 נרכשה הטחנה על ידי קבלן שתכנן להרסה. הטחנה ניצלה בזכות מחאה ציבורית.
