Description
English: Cast solid copper alloy button diameter 13mm, height 16mm, weight 4.47g. The head of the button is domed in shape with a series of radiating lines with curved ends emitting outwards from the centre. The stem on the underside is rectangular 11mm long 5mm thick and 2mm wide, the end of the stem has been truncated, this is an old break, there is a semicircular indentation on the tip which is all that remains of the loop. This artefact dates to the end of the Medieval Period to the beginning of the Post Medieval Period, 1400-1600.
