Name: Tel Lakish National Park, Moshav Lakish
Description: The archaeological site Tel Lachish (near the settlement of Lachish and near the city of Kiryat Gat) is identified with the biblical city of Lachish in the Kingdom of Judah, the second most important city after Jerusalem. The city had an impressive wall and a palace of enormous dimensions, which was the largest palace known in Israel during the period of the end of the First Temple.

תיאור: האתר הארכיאולוגי תל לכיש (הסמוך לישוב לכיש ובקרבת העיר קריית גת) מזוהה עם העיר המקראית לכיש בממלכת יהודה, העיר השניה בחשיבותה אחרי ירושלים. לעיר היתה חומה מרשימה וארמון אדיר מימדים, שהיה הארמון הגדול ביותר הידוע בארץ בתקופת שלהי בית ראשון.
הערות: באתר התגלו ממצאים רבים המשתלבים בתיאור המקראי ובתבליטי לכיש המפורסמים שהתגלו בארמונו של המלך האשורי סנחריב אשר בבירתו נינוה. שטחו כ־124 דונם, והוא זוהה על ידי החוקר האמריקאי ויליאם אולברייט בשנת 1926. בשנת 1994 הוכרז כגן לאומי.
