Description: Lod's railway complex was the largest and most important during the British Mandate both militarily and civilly. The "A-Lid Station" building (the old Ottoman station) was located on the Jaffa-Jerusalem railway, which was inaugurated in September 1892 and connected Jaffa to Jerusalem

שם: מבנה מכירת כרטיסים של תחנת הרכבת המנדטורית- לוד
תיאור: מתחם הרכבת של לוד היה הגדול והחשוב בתקופת המנדט הבריטי צבאית ואזרחית. בניין "תחנת א-ליד" (התחנה העות'מאנית הישנה) היה ממוקם על מסילת הרכבת יפו–ירושלים, אשר נחנכה בחודש ספטמבר 1892 וקישרה בין יפו לירושלים
הערות: אחר שהסתיימה מלחמת העולם הראשונה הניחו הבריטים מסילת ברזל חדשה שלאורכה ובשוליה נבנו מחנות צבא ונבנתה תחנת רכבת גדולה התחנה הבריטית נפתחה לראשונה בשנת 1917. בשנות ה-40 נפתחה צומת לוד לרכבות מאירופה למצרים והמקום היה פעיל מאוד. בלוד עברו הגדודים העבריים, גדודי צבא בריטיים, הבריגדה העברית, שבויים גרמניים ואיטלקיים, נשיאים, ראשי הממשלות ואישים אחרים
