Description: The Emek RefaimSynagogue in 1949 on Yael Street in the Bekaa neighborhood by new immigrants, Holocaust survivors from Central Europe and residents from the lowlands who immigrated to Jerusalem to serve in government institutions.

שם: ירושלים בית הכנסת עמק רפאים
תיאור: בית הכנסת 'עמק רפאים' ב 1949 ברחוב יעל בשכונת בקעה על ידי עולים חדשים ניצולי שואה ממרכז אירופה ותושבים מהשפלה שעלו לירושלים כדי לשרת במוסדות הממשלה. כיום מונה הקהילה כ-120 משפחות ומוסיפה לשלב בין ילידי הארץ ובין עולים חדשים מכל קצוות תבל.
הערות: נוסח התפילה ומנהגי בית הכנסת הוא לפי מנהגי יוצאי אשכנז. בית הכנסת שוכן בבנין אבן עתיק בעל קשתות מרהיבות וחלל פנימי נעים ומזמין.בית הכנסת "עמק רפאים" שנקרא בפי אנשי השכונה "יעל" ,על שום המצאותו ברחוב יעל בשכונת בקעה.(yael.org)
