Description: Nabi Seths tomb in the village of Bashit , which was an Arab village on the Judean coastal plain between Gedera and Yavneh, the origin of the name is from an ancient tomb, which according to Arab tradition, is the tomb of Nabi Seth.

שם: עשרת קבר נבי שית
תיאור: קבר נבי שית בכפר בשית או בשיט ש היה כפר ערבי במישור חוף יהודה בין גדרה לקיבוץ יבנה, מקור השם הוא בקבר עתיק, אשר לפי המסורת הערבית, הוא קברו של נבי שית (שת, בנו של אדם הראשון). בדורות קודמים נקרא הכפר בית-שית ואחר כך אוחדו המילים ל-בשית
הערות: המקום מוזכר לראשונה בכתביו של הגאוגרף הערבי יאקות אל-חמאווי, שחי במאה ה-13.על פי סקר הכפרים 1945 בארץ ישראל שטחי קרקעותיו היו 18,553 דונם ובשנת 1945 מנה 1620 נפשות במלחמת העצמאות במהלך מבצע ברק ב-11 במאי 1948 הכפר נכבש ותושביו ברחו או גורשו.במסגרת מבצע ברק, שאחת ממטרותיו הייתה לגרום לגירוש תושבי הכפרים מהאזור, הותקפה בשית ב-11 במאי 1948 על ידי כוחות מגדוד 52 ו-54 של חטיבת גבעתי. לאחר קרב קשה הכפר נכבש ובתיו פוצצו. בקרב נפלו 4 מלוחמי גבעתי.על אדמות בשית הוקמו יישובי מועצה אזורית גדרות (ויקיפדיה)
