Description: The ship Erinfora of the British army was bombed by German air force planes and sunk while in convoy on 1.5.1943. On board there were over a thousand people, among them 334 soldiers who volunteered to serve in the British Royal Transport Corps, many of them drowned, including 137 soldiers who are commemorated on Mount Herzl

תיאור: האוניה ארינפורה של הצבא הבריטי הופצצה על ידי מטוסי חיל האוויר הגרמני והוטבעה בהיותה בשיירה ב- 1.5.1943. על סיפונה היו למעלה מאלף איש, ביניהם 334 חיילים מא"י שהתנדבו לשרת בחיל התובלה המלכותי הבריטי, רבים מהם טבעו, ביניהם 137 מא"י והם מונצחים בהר הרצל
הערות: ברחבת האנדרטה מעוצב גשר הפיקוד של האוניה, ממנו נישא לפיד זיכרון, ולפניו בריכת מים. בסמוך דגלי ישראל, ולפני הרחבה שלט הסבר אודות ההנצחה.בשולי צלעות הבריכה משוקעים לוחות אבן שחורים, על כל לוח פרטי אחד הנופלים. בחזית מבנה גשר הפיקוד הפונה אל הבריכה נכתב הפסוק: "אמר אדוני מבָשן אָשיב, אשיב ממצולות ים" (תהילים ס"ח, כ"ג).
