Description |
English: 51 Fire damaged flint, average size length 27mm, width 27mm, thickness 18mm. These flints have been is a very high and long sustained heat. The high heat has resulted in cracking throughout the flint leaving the artefacts with a marble looking surface. It has also left these flints vulnerable to the elements and has meant that many of these have been truncated buy frost damage. These artefacts date from the Palaeolithic through to the Late Iron Age. |
