U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Scott Van Buskirk (far right), the commander of the 7th Fleet, as well as the overall Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) commander of Talisman Sabre 2011, Australian Army Maj. Gen. Rick Burr (center), the commander of the 1st Division, as well as the commander of the Combined Forces Land Component Command (CFLCC), and U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Scott Johnson, the commander of the 40th Infantry Division, as well as the deputy commander of CFLCC, visit with members of the CFLCC at Kokoda Barracks outside of Canungra in Queensland, Australia, July 16, 2011 as part of Talisman Sabre 2011, a large-scale training exercise aimed at improving the combat readiness and interoperability of the U.S. and Australian forces. The CFLCC, which includes roughly 120 California Army National Guardsmen, mostly from the 40th ID, is responsible for planning and tracking all elements related to the land war during Exercise Talisman Sabre.
