Title
1104 Medieval pilgrims badge.jpg
Description
English: Cast copper alloy pilgrims badge height 20mm, width 23mm, thickness 2mm, weight 3.1g. Robed figure in the centre with halo around the head holding a small child in his right arm, his left arm is reaching out and gripping hold of a branch/small tree. The lower section is unclear but the figure appears to have his lower legs immersed. To the left is a tree, which is surrounded by foliage. It is likely that this badge is depicting St Christopher the patron saint of travels amongst other thing. His artefact dates to the 15th century.
