Description
English: Cast copper alloy hasp length 35mm, width 28mm, thickness 1mm, weight 4g. the artefact is oval in plan with a rectangular loop at one end which has an aperture of 8mm in width. There are three lugs, one projecting out from either side and the last at the rear, these have a circular hole 2mm in diameter. The face is decorated with a floral motif which is held within a beaded border, the reverse is plain. The artefact is in poor condition with the whole of the original surface having corroded away leaving a mid brown layer. This artefact dates to the 1600-1700
