Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Jasmalnathji Mahadev Temple is a 10th-century Shiva temples complex in Asoda village in north Gujarat, India.

The complex was restored in the 12th-century, but it was one of many desecrated during the Sultanate-era conquests of Gujarat. However, this is one of the few examples in north Gujarat where the main temple mostly survived in its original form, even though the artwork suffered desecration.

The Jasmalnathji complex is also called Vaijnath Mahadev mandir. It is another panchayatana complex of five Hindu shrines built on a high platform (jagati). The main temple has impressive Hindu artwork.
