Description
Français : Pour un joueur donné, seules deux zones de l'échiquier sont accessibles par ses pions pour lui permettre de faire la promotion d'un pion en dame, fou, cavalier ou tour. Ces zones sont colorées sur le graphique afin de visualiser les directions que prennent les pions sur l'échiquier. Initialement, les quatre pions de droite auront de fortes chances de promouvoir à la droite du joueur et ceux de gauche sont souvent destinés à promouvoir vers sa gauche, s'ils passent tout obstacle se dressant sur leur passage. Toutefois, il est possible qu'un pion, en mangeant dans l'étoile du milieu prenne une autre direction que celle vers laquelle il se dirigeait jusqu'à lors et puisse partir vers la zone de promotion opposée.
