Name: Tel Aviv - The Red House
Description: The Red House stood above Gordon Beach in Tel Aviv, at 115 Yarakon St., where the Sheraton Hotel now stands. The house was used by the Tel Aviv and Jaffa Workers' Council, the Working Youth Center and the Gordonia Center

שם: תל אביב - הבית האדום
תיאור: הבית האדום עמד מעל חוף גורדון בתל אביב, ברחוב הירקון 115, במקום בו עומד כיום מלון שרתון. הבית שימש את מועצת פועלי תל אביב ויפו, את מרכז הנוער העובד ואת מרכז גורדוניה, מאוחר יותר שימש את ארגון "ההגנה" בפעילות ההעפלה. מראשית 1948 ועד תום מלחמת השחרור שימש הבית כמשכנו של מטכ"ל ההגנה
הערות: החל משנות ה-30 השתמשה "ההגנה" בבניין לפיקוד על פעולות ההעפלה, מתחת לאפם של שלטונות המנדט הבריטי. תחת מסווה של מועדון פועלים, הצליחו חברי "ההגנה" לאפשר למעפילים לעלות אל החוף בנקודה זו ולהסתירם בתוך המוני הפועלים החוגגים ובליווי הרעש, אשר הקשה על הבריטים באיתורם. הבית שימש את ההגנה גם לאיתות לספינות המעפילים המתקרבות אל החוף. ב-1939 הגיעו לחוף גורדון למרגלות הבית האדום אניות המעפילים פאריטה וטייגר היל.
