Description
English: Sheet copper alloy folded repair patch length 55mm, width 36mm, thickness 10mm, weight 21.74g. The artefacts comprises of a large rectangular plate with a rectangular slot towards one edge, there is a second smaller sheet of copper alloy on the reverse, again with a rectangular slot, this slot has been punched through both sheets whilst they were connected. These are held together by two rectangular strips that pass through the slots, these have then been folded flat in order to secure them into place. This artefact would date to 1066-1540.
