English: Name: Herzliya, the artists residence Description: The Artists Residence, also called the Writers House, is an art and culture complex in Herzliya, which includes a gallery, a talk show and work spaces for artists from various fields. עברית: שם: הרצליה משכן האמנים תיאור: משכן האמנים, הנקרא גם "בית הסופר", הוא מתחם לאמנות ותרבות בהרצליה, הכולל גלריה, תוכנית אירוח וחללי עבודה לאמנים מתחומים שונים. הערות: בשנת 1936 הציע ועד המושבה הרצליה אזור ג' לאגודת הסופרים, 10 דונמים של קרקע בחינם, כדי לבנות מקום מנוחה ועבודה לסופרים ויוצרים.בשנת 1947, בנימין גיצ'קו, שהיגר מרוסיה לארצות הברית לפני מלחמת העולם הראשונה, סופרים, עלה ארצה. ושמע על הרעיון להקמת בית הסופר, והוא הציע את שירותו לטפל בהתנדבות ובגיוס כספים.נסע לארצות הברית והצליח לגייס מעט כסף, בארץ נמצאו כמה תורמים, ומועצת הרצליה הקציבה למתחם 2,000 לירות[אבן הפינה הונחה במאי 1952.(ויקיפדיה) מיקום: רחוב מעלה יהודית הרצליה קובץ מקורי: DSC03521.JPG |
