Name: Eilat Salt Factory
Description: In 1976, a salt factory was established in Eilat. This factory was based on an experimental factory for the production of salt using the solar evaporation method, which was already established in the 1950s by the Dankner family. After solving the technical problems related to production, a suitable area was found in the Eilat salt marsh, north of the experimental plant located on the Jordanian border.

שם: אילת מפעל מלח הארץ
תיאור: בשנת 1976 הוקם מפעל מלח באילת. מפעל זה התבסס על מפעל ניסיוני לייצור מלח בשיטת האידוי הסולרי, שהוקם כבר בשנות החמישים על–ידי משפחת דנקנר. אחרי פתרון הבעיות הטכניות הקשורות בייצור נמצא שטח מתאים במלחת אילת, מצפון למפעל הניסיוני ששכן על גבול ירדן.
הערות: בשנים הראשונות ניזון מפעל המלח ממים שהוזרמו ממתקני ההתפלה (מפעל זרחין וחברת החשמל). לאחר מכן, סופקו המים על–ידי מפעלי ההתפלה החדשים, שהתפילו מים מליחים מקידוחים באזור, ומאוחר יותר גם במי ים ממפרץ אילת. משנת 1997 שולב בתהליך הייצור מערך ההתפלה החדש שהקימה חברת מקורות.ב 2019 נרכשה חברת סוגת על ידי מלח הארץ, שהיתה בבעלות של קרן ההשקעות פורטיסימו קפיטל, והחברות התמזגו לחברה אחת.כיום כוללת קבוצת סוגת את המותגים סוגת, מלח הארץ, עץ הזית וטחינת אל ארז, ושליטה בחברת תבליני פרג.(ויקיפדיה)
