הערות: בשנת 1921 הוקם קיבוץ עין חרוד, על ידי אנשי גדוד העבודה, ליד מעיין חרוד. בשנת 1952 כחלק ממאבק בתנועת העבודה והפילוג בתנועה הקיבוצית, התחולל פילוג גם בקיבוץ עין חרוד. הקיבוץ התפצל לשני קיבוצים, איחוד ומאוחד,. קרקעותיו ונכסיו פוצלו בין שני הקיבוצים. ב-1937 הוקם בפאתי הקיבוץ משכן לאמנות ע"ש חיים אתר בשנת 1941 הוקם מוזיאון על שם חיים שטורמן, כמוזיאון לטבע ולידיעת הארץ, המוזיאון נקרא על שם חבר הקיבוץ שנרצח בשנת 1938 מקור התמונה: פרוייקט שימור לדורות של בית יגאל אלון ואוניברסיטת הרוורד.
