Name: Nizanei Oz
Description: The settlement was established in 1951 when Nahal was held by Gadna veterans from the Jonathan Company in Jerusalem who fought in the city in the War of Independence, including the twins born in the Nachalot neighborhood Mordechai and Zion Sofer. A number of different settlement points located in border areas throughout Israel have been proposed for nuclear. They chose precisely this point.

תיאור: היישוב הוקם בשנת 1951 כהיאחזות נח"ל בידי יוצאי גדנ"ע מפלוגת יהונתן בירושלים שלחמו בעיר במלחמת העצמאות, בהם התאומים ילידי שכונת נחלאות מרדכי וציון סופר. לגרעין הוצעו מספר נקודות התיישבות שונות הממוקמות באזורי גבול ברחבי ישראל. הם בחרו דווקא בנקודה זו.
