Name: Givat Ada, the water tower
Description: An explanatory sign on the square water tower was built in 1924/5 and in the house in front of it lived the late poet Matityahu Arieli who wrote the famous poem Straw Hat and the poem There is no water in Givat Ada.

שם: גבעת עדה מגדל המים
תיאור: שלט הסבר על מגדל המים המרובע נבנה ב1924/5 ובבית מולו התגורר בעבר המשורר מתתיהו אריאלי ז"ל שכתב את השיר המפורסם "כובע של קש" ואת השיר "אין מים בגבעת עדה".
הערות: גִּבְעַת עָדָה הייתה מושבה שנוסדה במורדות רמות מנשה מצפון מזרח לפרדס חנה-כרכור של היום. היא הוכרזה כמועצה מקומית בשנת 1949. בשנת 2003 היא אוחדה עם בנימינה הצעירה ממנה, לכדי מועצה מקומית מאוחדת אחת, בשם בנימינה-גבעת עדה. שנים רבות הייתה גבעת עדה אי בודד של התיישבות יהודית בלב שטח שנשלט על ידי יישובים ערביים. גבעת עדה סבלה רבות מפרעות הכנופיות הערביות בתקופת המאורעות, ובעיקר בשנות ה-20 וה-30 של המאה ה-20. בשנת תרצ"ח לבדה איבדה המושבה שבעה מבניה במאורעות.(ויקיפדיה)
