Summary
[edit]Description102 for Chingford - geograph.org.uk - 1057426.jpg |
English: 102 for Chingford, near to Golders Green, Barnet, Great Britain.
After the withdrawal of the RT buses, the 102 route was in the hands of Routemasters for a time. Here is RM192, one of those without opening front windows on the upper deck. The route continued to terminate at Golders Green for some time, but was converted to one man operation using the SMS type single deckers. Subsequently it was extended to Brent Cross and returned to double deck operation. Note that the turn round loop beside Finchley Road operated in the opposite direction to that used today for the H1-3 services - see TQ2587 : Terminates Here for an example. The Wallflowers are putting on a nice display on the left, where there is pavement today. |
