תיאור: תמונה קבוצתית של גרעין בתלם, הגרעין המייסד של קיבוץ עין גב, בנחלת יהודה
הערות: קבוצת בתלם התגבשה בשנת 1934 מיוצאי גרמניה שעלו בעליה החמישית. הגרעין עבר להכשרה בנחלת יהודה ובשנת 1937 הקימו את הקיבוץ במסגרת חומה ומגדל כישוב היהודי היחיד במזרח הכנרת. במלחמת העצמאות הקיבוץ הותקף על ידי הסורים וחברי הקיבוץ בעזרת תושבים מישובי עמק הירדן הצליחו להדוף אותם ואף לכבוש את הר סוסיתא. התנכלות הסורים נמשכה גם לאחר קום המדינה ונמשכה עד מלחמת ששת הימים. מתחילת ההתישבות היה בעין גב גרעין של חובבי מוזיקה ושמם יצא למרחרקים.(ויקיפדיה).מקור התמונה:פרוייקט שימור לדורות של בית יגאל אלון ואוניברסיטת הרוורד.
