English: Struck copper alloy rose/orb jetton. Hanns Krauwinckel II issue.
Obv: HANNS.KRAUWINCKEL.IN.NVREMBE three fleur-de-lis alternating with three crowns with rose in centre Rev: VERBVM DOMINI MANET IN ETERN Cross on orn within tressure. Hanns Krauwinckel II was a mater craftsman in 1586 and died in 1635. The jettons made during this period are the most common found in England. Similar to be found in Michiner, Volume one, page 438, figures 1512 - 1517. |
