English: A cast copper alloy harness pendant with heraldic decoration. The pendant is a quatrefoil with a pointed projections between the foils. The arms have been identified by Rob Webley (FLO for Hampshire) as 'Azure a cross patonce between five martlets to sinister Or' - five birds set around a cross with trefid ends on a blue enamel field. These are the imaginary arms of (Saint) Edward the Confessor. Ashley, S 2002 "Medieval Armorial Horse Furniture in Norfolk", East Anglian Archaeology No. 101, p. 22, No. 217. There is an oval suspension loop with a circular hole through it set at the top of the mount. The back is undecorated.
