Members of the Rwandan Defense Forces weigh heavy recovery vehicles in Kigali, Rwanda, Jan. 13, 2009, prior to deploying to Sudan in support of an African Union/United Nations peacekeeping mission. Nine of the vehicles, which belong to the Rwandan Defense Forces, were donated by the U.S. government, as well as 70 additional tons of equipment and material. About 150 tons of equipment, including the vehicles, purification systems, water trailers, tents and spare parts, will be airlifted by a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft to Rwandan peacekeepers that are supporting the mission in Darfur.
