Description

Now completely closed, most of the line from Lepsény to Dombovár was mothballed for many years whilst still being shown in the MÁV printed timetable.The section at the north end as far as Mezőhídvég however was kept open with buses running in place for the rest of the line. At the time of this visit, the track beyond the station had already been lifted meaning there was probably minimal chance of it ever re-opening.

On 7 February 1998 single railcar Bzmot 330 had a generous hour turnaround time before the 45 minute run of train 38514,11:40 Mezõhídvég to Lepsény. Mezőhídvég derives its name from the two adjacent villages it serves - Mezőkomárom and Szabadhídvég.
