| Description |
The raised viewpoint of Railway Street came about with the construction of the Chorley town centre bypass in the late 80s and early 90s. The new bypass passed through the former railway sidings on Railway Street. An embankment was created to link the bypass with the Lyons Lane bridge. Railway Street, which once joined Lyons Lane slightly behind my viewpoint became a cul-de-sac. George Street was raised to join the bypass and Lyons Lane. |
