Three metre gauge routes originate here at Aigle and there are dedicated platforms for each one. Seen at Aigle on 4 February 2019 is 2-car set BDe 4/4 no. 404 "Aigle" on train 440, 12:56 Aigle to Les Diablerets . Formerly a separate company Aigle-Sépey-Diablerets (ASD) this was merged with the two other metre gauge operations originating at Aigle plus the BVB from Bex and local bus operations in 2000 to become Transports Publics du Chablais (TPC) in January 2000. The line isn't rack fitted and involves a reversal at Le Sépey. This was my second attempt at covering the line. In November 1998 arrived at Les Diablerets by Postbus from Gstaad to find the top end of the line closed as far as Les Aviolats closed because of engineering work. |
