Description
English: The seal of the Freies Deutsches Hochstift, a research institute which was founded in 1859 by Otto Volger. The seal consists of a circle with the words "Freies Deutsches Hochstift + 1859 +", inside this is a gothic trefoil with a green acorn sprout in the middle. The main colours are gold, red and black, representing the "Schwarz-Rot-Gold" associated with the 1848 Frankfurt parliament
