Description
English: 011010-N-6520M-006 Aboard USS Carl Vinson (Oct. 10, 2001) -- A U.S. Navy F-14D "Tomcat" from the "Black Lions" of Fighter Squadron 213 (VF-213) streaks by as it launches from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Navy aircraft are launched from carriers by means of a steam-powered catapult. The Carl Vinson is operating in the Arabian Sea in support of operation "Enduring Freedom."
